As a national performing company, WNO sits at the heart of music-making in Wales and plays a valuable role in discovering and nurturing young talent from diverse backgrounds. WNO has grown out of a commitment to community singing, rooted in the cultural landscape of Wales’ tradition for making music and song, building up lasting relationships with people on the ground, because a connection to people, place, language and culture matters to us. And building on our 75 years history means that for future generations, our opera is still accessible, inspirational and relevant to the people of Wales, England and beyond.
