The Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra is one of Europe’s most versatile orchestras with a repertoire that includes the major classical works as well as exciting new music. In collaboration with composers, conductors and soloists there is a constant striving to break new ground. The orchestra’s high-quality music-making has been rewarded with numerous prizes and accolades and they regularly perform at international festivals and concert halls. “The orchestra has a unique combination of humility, sensibility and musical imagination”, says Daniel Harding, chief conductor of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. “I have never had a concert with the orchestra where they haven’t played as though their lives depended on it!”.

The Swedish Radio Choir is the ensemble that clears the path for others to follow. For more than 90 years they have been stewards of the Swedish a cappella tradition and the legendary choral sound created by Eric Ericson in the 20th century, while at the same time presenting an enterprising and culturally diverse repertoire, from early music to entirely new works. The ability of members of the choir to sing solo one moment only to then blend into the tightly woven sound of the choir creates an instrument whose recordings and concerts have received world-wide praise. The Swedish Radio Choir continues to constantly develop and has, for very good reason, been called one of the best choirs in the world.
