Angers Pianopolis

18 - 21 May 2023, Angers, France
About the festival

The first Angers Pianopolis festival will put a spotlight on the romantic, classical, jazz repertoire and on women's words.

In addition to the concerts, there will be free convivial moments in the gardens of Saint Jean. Pianos will be placed all over the gardens, in the squares, at the train station, to allow everyone to use them.

There will be solo, duo and group performances. You will find in the headlines:

-  Alexandre Kantorow who won first prize and gold medal at the Tchaikovsky International Competition;

-  Yaron Herman: one of the most recognised and unique pianists on the international jazz scene and a master of improvisation;

-  William Christie: founder of “Les Arts Florissants” (a musical ensemble founded in 1979 specializing in baroque music);

-  Bertrand Chamayou: international soloist, he won the Victories of Classical Music five times.
