Basso Continuo Masterclass (strings) with Réka Nagy

“Playing in a True Taste” 
First steps in 18th c. basso continuo playing, with particular regard to bow management, approaching a fine tone on the violoncello, according to Francesco Geminiani’s treatises 

In addition to individual classes, students of the Basso Continuo masterclass will also have the opportunity to participate in György Vashegyi's chamber music masterclass and the orchestral workshop held by Zsolt Kalló and György Vashegyi. 

Chamber music:
We will inform you about the schedule and repertoire of the chamber music masterclass after the application deadline (or until 31 May). 

György Vashegyi, the professor of the chamber music masterclass, will select at the end of the last teaching day the 6 chamber music groups that will have the opportunity to perform at the final concert on 8 July. 

Schedule: 
Basso continuo masterclass: 

• 2–5 July 2023, between 10:00 and 17:30  
• 6–7 July 2023, between 10:00 and 14:30 

Orchestral rehearsals: 

• 4 July 2023, between 180:0 and 19:30
• 5 July 2023, between 18:00 and 19:30
• 6 July 2023, between 18:00 and 19:30 

Registration:
1 July 2023, between 10:00 and 18:00

• An unedited HD-quality video (5–10 mins) on which the applicant is performing a piece of choice 

Fee for participants: 

• Participation Fee for active participants: €250
