“I always find my approach to Mozart via opera,” says Kirill Petrenko. At this year’s Europakonzert, he conducts Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Symphony No. 25, in which the 17-year-old composer unfolds a vivid drama. In addition, there are also sacred works: the joyful motet “Exsultate, jubilate” and the operatically expressive “Coronation” Mass. A quartet of renowned soloists will be joined by the Barcelona-based Orfeó Català Choir.
