Per Brudsten | Orgue |
Through Konserthuset’s popular organ matinée subscription, audiences get to hear Sweden’s leading organists play the building’s organ – one of the largest in Europe, with 6,100 pipes.
Per Brudsten is the organist of the Härnösand cathedral. He studied at the school of music in Piteå, with teacher Gary Verkade, and at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, with Johannes Landgren, Mikael Wahlin and Maija Lehtonen in solistic organ playing, and with Stefan Therstam in improvisation. Here, Brudsten performs music by the organ titans Max Reger and Maurice Duruflé, and Swedish music by Elfrida Andrée and pieces by the younger composers Joakim Andersson (born 1990) and Casper Wikström (born 2001).
Change of programme: Per Brudsten replaces the previously announced organist Lars G Fredriksson, and the programme has also been changed.
